We are proud to support some wonderful charities and give back to the Island (Bali) where we are able to ethically and responsibility manufacture our clothing. 2 initiatives we sponsor monthly are :
Having Clean Oceans FREE of Land-Based Waste and Sustainable Businesses for Balinese/Indonesian Coastal and Island Communities for a Healthy Environment. Founded in 2007, R.O.L.E. Foundation was created to stop land-based waste from getting into the oceans, and help create sustainable jobs to protect the livelihoods of coastal communities
BALI WISE COLLEGE
Empowering Marginalized Women through skills education, as a means to develop sustainable communities in Indonesia. Bali WISE removes the barriers preventing disadvantaged Indonesian women to access further education and secure work. With a six-months intensive course providing free education in English, Bahasa Indonesia, IT, hospitality and business skills, it has helped placing more than 800 women in gainful employment since 2012, and will train 120 disadvantaged women this year.
In Australia, we partner with Thread Together by donating old & slow selling stock. Seasonally we will continue to support this initiative. Thread Together is the only organisation in Australia whose main mission and focus is to source new and excess clothing from fashion retailers and redistribute items to those in our communities that need it most. In five years they have distributed over $8 million worth of new clothing to people in our community who are vulnerable and in need.
This year we made our EOFY charity contribution to Youngcare. Youngcare is a not-for-profit organisation creating choice and independence for young people (aged 16 – 65) with high care needs by providing fully accessible and age-appropriate living spaces, grants for equipment and home modifications and support through a national phone line.
Thank you for helping us give back to the local community!
