Our fabrics are primarily printed using rotary screen print machines, which may result in a slight disparity of up to 10% between each production run. This means that we cannot guarantee that every piece will be exactly the same colour. This is a natural outcome of the printing process and should be taken into consideration when placing orders for multiple pieces.

OUR FABRICATIONS

We endeavour to use natural fibres when crafting our garments, which are highlighted below. These selections provide maximum breathability and softness, while acting gentler on the environment. Our washing instructions are provided below, followed by insights into the unique characteristics of each fabric blend we offer.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We have applied uniform washing instructions across all of our fabrics as they are all naturally derived fibres. We recommend the wash and care directions below to maintain your Piyama’s longevity.

Cold, Gentle, machine wash

We suggest to separate for first wash

RAYON

Our signature soft, buttery Rayon has been a staple in our collection since the beginning. Rayon is a textile made from regenerated cellulose fibres, derived from wood pulp, known for its softness, draping qualities, and ability to mimic the texture of natural fibres like cotton and silk. We pre-shrink our rayon prior to cutting it.

COTTON

Our 100% Cotton is crafted solely from pure plant fibres renowned for their breathability, softness, comfort, and durability. We apply additional softener to our cotton during the washing process to enhance the buttery hand-feel. 

COTTON MODAL BLEND

Cotton modal is a 50 / 50% composition, made from natural cotton fibres and sustainably sourced modal fibres. Modal is a type of textile made from cellulose fibres extracted from beech trees, prized for its softness, smooth texture, and moisture-wicking properties. 

100% TENCEL™ LYOCELL

TENCEL™ is the trademarked name for the fibre Lyocell. Lyocell fibres are originally derived from wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests and are also biodegradable. Our 100% Lyocell is lightweight, breathable and buttery soft, making it an ideal fabric for our sleep garments.  

LYOCELL LINEN

Lyocell Linen is a blend of 50% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 50% Cotton with a seamless linen dobby weave texture. Lightweight, breathable and soft against the skin. It’s a versatile fabric as the linen-look weight and texture can transport our garments from night to day.

 Regular Dispatch Times

Orders are shipped out of our warehouse partner in QLD, Australia. All orders placed before 1pm AEST (Monday - Friday) will be dispatched same day (this can exclude peak season / busy sale periods). We partner with Australia Post for domestic orders, and DHL Express for international orders. 

Changes to Order

We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but please understand that once an order has been confirmed, modifications may not be possible. Reasons for this are customer service hours, and that our warehouse is third party. Please carefully check the details are correct before payment. 

Order notes / gift card messages

As we partner with a third party warehouse, we are unable to adjust your orders to write personalised gift messages. Please consider this prior to ordering. 

Signature waiving (International customers)

We strongly advise against authorising a signature release on international shipments. As soon as the signature is released, we or the courier are not liable for lost or stolen parcels; ie no claim can be pursued. Please carefully consider this before authorising a signature release, parcel theft is a serious issue. 

Wedding deadlines

To be safe we suggest ordering at least 2 weeks prior to your wedding. This will provide a safe buffer for any unexpected shipping delays. 

AU & NZ SHIPMENTS

AUSTRALIA

All Australian orders will be shipped with Australia Post. We offer both Regular (3-8 days delivery time) and Express (1-3 days delivery time) options.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

INTERNATIONAL IMPORT TAXES + DUTY CHARGES

Australian orders are subject to 10% GST, included in the prices shown. 

International customers may be required to pay sales tax, duty and/or Customs fees depending on their country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the cost of the order or shipping charge. 

This information applies particularly to the UK and Canada. All shipments require an import fee in order to clear customs. 

We suggest contacting your local customs office if you are unsure of the applicable taxes and customs fees that are relevant to your country.

If import fees are refused and order is returned to sender, we will not offer a refund. If you have any questions or concerns regarding import taxes and customs duties, please contact our Customer Care team prior to placing your order.

USA

We do not cover any importation fees. Generally, shipments valued over US$800 are subject to duties and taxes in the US. Please refer to US customs for further info.

Piyama does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen orders due to DHL signature waiving.

Returns & Exchanges

Policy

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since the dispatch date of your purchase, unfortunately we cannot accept a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused / unwashed, with tags still attached, and in original condition. It must also be in the original packaging. The customer is responsible for return postage costs incurred. 

Full Priced Items

We do offer returns / refunds on purchases that were made on full priced items. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and refunds will be minus shipping paid originally. 

Coupon Codes

We do not offer refunds on any purchases made using a discount / coupon over 15% discount (20%, 30% etc). Instead we offer 110% store credit. 

Sale Items

We do not offer exchanges / returns / refunds on any SALE ITEMS. These are final clearance. 

Exchanges

Exchanges

We now offer exchanges for our AU customers. Same shipping rates apply. At this time we do not offer exchanges to other countries. 

NEW: INSTANT EXCHANGE

This allows customers a faster way to process an exchange, and have the new order shipped out immediately with no delay. This also helps secure desired items before it goes out of stock. The original order must be returned within 14 days, and credit card details are collected for security & authorisation purposes. Credit cards will be charged in full for orders that are not returned within the strict timeframe.

Other Important Info

Recommendation - Bridal Party Orders

This recommendation is for those who are ordering for their bridal party / a bundle discount. If you are unsure on sizes, we do suggest to order 1 "test" size first before placing your main order. Also, worthwhile to consider we don't refund if the discount claimed is greater than 15%. This reduces return shipping costs as it can get expensive when you are returning over 3 items.
